Gilman City won the last time they faced Grundy County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks blew past the Panthers 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Tenley Griffith and Alli Burke made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Griffith tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The win made it two in a row for Gilman City and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games.
