Southwest SD suffered their closest  defeat since January 6th on Friday. They fell just short of the Coronado Islanders by a score of  36-33.  Coronado found their leader in freshman  Gabby Fichter, who  posted 16 points plus five  rebounds and two  steals.  Emily Albin was another key player,  scoring seven points along with six  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Southwest SD's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest SD and Hilltop are set to duel  on December 4th. As for Coronado, they will venture away from home to  take on Castle Park  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
