The Mountain House Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 68-25 win over Pacheco. Mountain House has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.
Jariah Indalecio was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times she's played. Niara Mangrum was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two blocks.
Despite the loss, Pacheco saw an underclassman step up: Jeanette Ortiz scored two points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
The victory was the 12th in a row for Mountain House, bringing their record for this year to 18-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Pacheco, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain House will square off against Ceres at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain House is coming into the matchup with six straight wins on the road, meaning Ceres will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Pacheco, they will square off against Beyer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pacheco focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 on Thursday.
