The Mission College Prep Royals came tearing into  Friday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Paso Robles by a score of  58-48. That's another feather in the cap for Mission College Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Mission College Prep was led to victory by  Gwen Nelson and  Keahi Guy.  Nelson  scored 24 points along with six  rebounds, while  Guy  scored 21 points along with six  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Nelson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mary Marsalek, who  scored five points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals.
 Mission College Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record  this season. As for Paso Robles, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-10.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission College Prep will take on Sanger at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Sanger will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Mission College Prep is ranked 166th). As for Paso Robles, they will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Mission Oak at 6:00  p.m. Mission Oak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
