The McDonald's All America Game is being played in a new city but expect the same high-caliber action as the best girls basketball players from around the country meet March 28 in Houston for the 46th annual event. On Tuesday, the 24-player roster was announced.
Eleven players on the MaxPreps Preseason All-America Team made the roster, including first-teamers
Breya Cunningham,
Jadyn Donovan and
Juju Watkins.
More notes of interest:• All of the McDonald's All Americans have either signed or committed to colleges, and, unlike previous years where a top college program would rake in several of the selections, these future stars are spread out. LSU, Arizona, UConn and Notre Dame each have two commits named to the field
• California leads the way with four players with Watkins and
Amanda Muse of
Heritage (Brentwood, Calif.) joining the LJCD duo.
• A switch from last year is that the players are already designated into East and West squads.
The 2023 McDonald’s All American Girls game will air on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET on
ESPN2 and the Boys game will immediately follow on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
