University City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kianna LeFear led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Topanga Tusantoso, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Castle Park on the road to the tune of 80-10. That looming 80-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Scripps Ranch yet this season.
University City's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
University City was dealt a bruising 57-17 loss at the hands of Scripps Ranch in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point University City was down 29-7.
