Omaha Westside extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 16-5. They came out on top against the Marian Crusaders by a score of 6-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 last Friday.
Hannah Miller made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August.
In other batting news, Emma Kauffman was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
As for Marian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Marian's side, Brooklyn Kincaid made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
