The Highland Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bakersfield Christian, falling 78-16. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Highland in their matchups with Bakersfield Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
Bakersfield Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava King, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 21 rebounds. King continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sara Shein was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six steals.
Highland has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Bakersfield Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7.
Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bakersfield Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
