Baseball Recap: Bishop Union Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

Bishop Union never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Mammoth Huskies. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elliot Douda was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Mike Trejo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Darious Fiero, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Bishop Union is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mammoth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
