The Scott Skyhawks lost against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Scott lost to Point Pleasant at home by a decisive 44-30 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Scott has scored all season.
Kelsey Harper was Scott's leading scorer, having posted 14 points.
Chrissy Roberts held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.
Josie Barker took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
McKenna Young had an outrageously good game for Point Pleasant as she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Young is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Tolliver, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Scott has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Point Pleasant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott will take on Chapmanville Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chapmanville Regional is coming into the game with four straight losses at home, meaning Scott will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Point Pleasant, they will head out on the road to take on Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
