This season hasn't been kind to the Borrego Springs Rams, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by Hamilton 44-17 on Friday. Borrego Springs has not had much luck with Hamilton recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Borrego Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Melanie Urquidez. Despite the final result, she scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Borrego Springs bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hamilton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borrego Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calexico Mission at 4:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Hamilton, they will head out on the road to face off against La Sierra Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
