At the plate,  Hughes  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Hosino  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Brian Garcia Tamayo was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen two or more in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Lucien Regis, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Dunsmuir's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Weed, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Dunsmuir is on the road again  in Tuesday's  first game to play Tulelake at 1:00  p.m. Dunsmuir has given up an average of 19.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Weed, they will be playing at home against Etna at 2:00  p.m.  in Friday's  first game. Both teams will come into the  contest having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
