On Thursday, Arrowhead wrapped up 2023 with a 70-52 victory over Waunakee. Given Arrowhead's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Waunakee is ranked 35th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The matchup was Kussow's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Abby Robel was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead will take on Catholic Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Catholic Memorial is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Waunakee and Milton will face off at 12:30 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Milton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
