After losing to the Monessen Greyhounds the last time they met, the Charleroi Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Charleroi walked away with a 36-25 win over Monessen on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Charleroi.
Charleroi had a senior duo take command as Bella Carroto scored 10 points and Riley Jones scored 10 points. Ella Sypolt was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Charleroi's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Monessen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleroi will take on Belle Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th. As for Monessen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Springdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
