The Cleveland Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 62-20 blowout they got at home against North Hollywood. The victory was nothing new for Cleveland as they're now sitting on four straight.
Cleveland had a senior duo take command as Gabriella Calderon scored 24 points along with six steals and Valerie Anzora dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Calderon has scored at least 25% of Cleveland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylee Miles, who scored two points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Cleveland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for North Hollywood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Cleveland will head out on the road to face off against El Camino Real at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Hollywood, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Monroe at 3:30 p.m. Monroe comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
