Ripon Christian has gone 8-2 against Orestimba recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Orestimba took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ripon Christian, who comes in off a win.
Ripon Christian not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th. They never let Ripon get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Jordan Luisi made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Luisi was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Ripon Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to Ripon.
Like Ripon Christian, Orestimba also got a great game from a two-way player: Colby Cabral. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Cabral was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ray Montes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Jaden Sotelo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Ripon Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Orestimba, their loss dropped their record down to 3-19.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ripon Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Orestimba struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ripon Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Orestimba when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
