Baseball Recap: Southwest EC Wins Going Away Against Central

Southwest EC won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Spartans 13-2. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jerry Niebla was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock London, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Southwest EC always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only posted an OBP of .241.

The win made it two in a row for Southwest EC and bumps their season record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
