After a string of four wins, the Christ School Greenies's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Covenant Day 63-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Greenies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keenan Wilkins, who scored 20 points along with two blocks. Wilkins has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Jamari Briggs was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists.
Even though they lost, Christ School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covenant Day only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Rivens, who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivens has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tyree White, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Christ School's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Covenant Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.
