Stagg has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Linden Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Stagg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three games.
Last Thursday, Stagg was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles, taking the game 59-51.
Destiny Martinez and Jameelah Pharms were among the main playmakers for Stagg as the former dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Pharms has scored at least a third of Stagg's points. Kayla Ogle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Linden's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight defeat. Their tough 51-27 loss to Edison might stick with them for a while. Linden has not had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Stagg pushed their record up to 17-9 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Linden, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-25.
Everything came up roses for Stagg against the Lions when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 66-20 victory. With Stagg ahead 37-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
