The Mid Valley Spartans lost against the Dunmore Bucks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mid Valley was dealt a 53-26 defeat at the hands of the Bucks. Mid Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Krista Cortazar, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals. Chiara Zavislak was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Mid Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Dunmore, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Mid Valley will head out on the road to face off against the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carbondale Area comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Dunmore, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Knights at 2:15 p.m. on January 27th.
