After both having extra time off, the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots and the Mount Si Wildcats will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. Mount Si took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Academy of Our Lady of Peace, who comes in off a win.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it three last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over St. Joseph Academy. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Academy of Our Lady of Peace did.
It was another big night for Jillian Nowicki, who went 7 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 7 assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Academy of Our Lady of Peace's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey O'neal, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Mount Si came up short against Newport - Bellevue last Saturday and fell 52-44. Mount Si has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Mount Si, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
