After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Christian, Aptos was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs as they made off with a 48-24 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Mariners, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evie Francis had an outrageously good game as she posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eliya Chavez, who scored nine points and four steals.

Monte Vista Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hope Frommn, who earned eight points. Emily Madison was another key player, putting up seven points.

The win got Aptos back to even at 1-1. As for Monte Vista Christian, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aptos will head out to square off against Saratoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monte Vista Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
