The Chambersburg Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 30-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland Valley. If Chambersburg was looking for revenge after losing 45-26 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Cumberland Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sanai Hill out in front who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Payton Basehore was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Chambersburg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Cumberland Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Chambersburg will head out on the road to face off against the Mountain Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Altoona presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Trojans in Pennsylvania (the Mountain Lions are ranked 52nd, while the Trojans are ranked 391st). As for Cumberland Valley, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Harrisburg is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
