The Uniontown Red Raiders lost against the McGuffey Highlanders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Uniontown was beaten by McGuffey 58-28. That makes it three consecutive games in which Schumacher has scored at least 25% of McGuffey's points. Libby Mallah was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Uniontown and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for McGuffey, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Uniontown will head out on the road to face off against Laurel Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel Highlands is on a three-game streak of home wins, Uniontown a two-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. McGuffey will take on West Greene at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Greene is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
