The game is sold out as of Thursday evening and tickets are being listed at as much as $70 by resellers.
Since 2016, the Monarchs and Gaels have combined for five national championships including the last two with Bishop Gorman winning in 2023 and Mater Dei taking the 2024 crown.

This is the fifth time Bishop Gorman and Mater Dei have played, with all five meetings coming since 2017 and four of those featuring both teams ranked in the top 10. The Monarchs have swept the previous four contests.
In 2017 and 2024 Mater Dei was ranked No. 1 and Bishop Gorman was No. 2 when the teams met. Each time the Monarchs won the game and then went on to capture the national championship.
The closest game occurred in 2022 when No. 6 Bishop Gorman hosted No. 2 Mater Dei and held a 21-14 lead entering the fourth quarter. The Monarchs were dominant on both sides of the football in the fourth quarter and left Las Vegas with a 24-21 win.
Mater Dei (3-1) lost its first game since 2023 on Friday against then No. 21
Centennial (Corona, Calif.) 43-36. The Monarchs trailed 28-0 after the first quarter before roaring back to take a 36-33 lead only to see it slip away.
Bishop Gorman (4-0) is coming off a 35-10 win over Illinois No. 1
East St. Louis on Friday.
The Gaels are led on offense by senior quarterback
Maika Eugenio, a Hawaii commit. He has tossed 14 touchdowns and sophomore wide receiver
Zyren Menor has hauled in four of them.
Mater Dei's defensive backfield is battle tested with
Aaryn Washington,
Ace Leutele and
Danny Lang all rated as four-star prospects.
