When
Andale defeated El Dorado 104-0 last week, it marked the 75th time a high school football team from Kansas has scored 100 or
more points in a game.
The Jayhawk State is now tied with
Illinois for No. 4 among states with the most 100-point games, according
to data compiled at
LuckyShow.org. Texas is the all-time
leader with 114 while Oklahoma has 101 and Ohio has 80.
Kansas is known for its 100-point football games. For that
matter, it's known for its 200-point football games. Three Kansas
schools have scored over 200 points in a game, including
Marion with 205
in 1922,
Chaparral (Anthony) with 211 in 1913 and
Haven, the all-time national
leader, with 256 points in 1927.

Perennial power Muskegon has accounted for 11 of the 42 100-point games in Michigan history. (PHOTO: David Smith)
Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois and
Oklahoma all have one 200-point game
The 104 points is not the all-time
record at Andale. In fact it's not the most points scored by the Indians
in the past four years. In 2022, Andale defeated Nickerson 108-0.
MaxPreps
has compiled a list of the most 100-point high school football games in
each state and listed them in order. Only 11-man games were included. Games between a college team and a high school
team (a common scheduling occurrence in the early 1900s) were only
included if the high school team scored 100 or more points. Junior varsity games
were not included unless the game involved a varsity team.
Only
three states, Alaska, New Hampshire and Delaware, did not have a
100-point game. Each state is listed with the earliest known 100-point
game, the latest and the highest scoring along with the school that has
the most 100-point games.
