The Copley Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Solon Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Copley is looking to tack on another W to their 14-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Even though Copley has not done well against Revere recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Copley enjoyed a cozy 56-37 victory over Revere. Given Copley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Revere is ranked 370th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kami Ayoup was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Solon put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Wadsworth 60-43. That's two games straight that Solon has won by exactly 17 points.
Copley's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Solon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Copley skirted past Solon 64-62 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Copley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
