Tristan Lyles Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Central got the W thanks in part to Tristan Lyles playing the best football he has all season. Lyles picked up five sacks, forced a fumble, and made nine total tackles (7.0 for loss).

Auburn Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Omar Mabson
Omar Mabson was instrumental in extending Auburn's winning streak to seven on Friday. Smiths Station had no answer to Mabson as he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown.
Smiths Station had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mabson it was a similar story. Mabson rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in November of 2023.

Calvin Hughley's big game helped extend Opelika's winning streak to five on Friday. Hughley turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Opelika pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Hughley and Opelika will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
