The Kennedy Thunderbirds lost against the Templeton Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kennedy suffered a rough 63-38 loss at the hands of Templeton. Kennedy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Valeria Payan, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Payan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayleen Maes, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Templeton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Kennedy and Taft will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Templeton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pioneer Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
