The Carlynton Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 38-24 bruising from Jeannette. Carlynton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jeannette apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Jeannette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adriana Allison, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Allison is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Navarah Smith, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Carlynton bumped their record down to 3-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Jeannette, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
Carlynton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ellis at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Ellis is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Jeannette, they will head out on the road to face off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northgate is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
