Even though Mahanoy Area scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Lincoln Leadership Academy still came out on top. Lincoln Leadership Academy secured a 59-55 W over Mahanoy Area. That's two games straight that Lincoln Leadership Academy has won by exactly four points.
Lincoln Leadership Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alania Ortiz, who scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ortiz has scored at least 25% of Lincoln Leadership Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yadira Marshall, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
Meanwhile, Bethlehem Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Coventry Christian on Thursday, taking the game 27-19.
Lincoln Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bethlehem Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
