Fillmore is 1-9 against Nordhoff since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Fillmore Flashes will challenge the Nordhoff Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fillmore will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Channel Islands, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Fillmore enjoyed a cozy 41-23 win over Channel Islands on Tuesday.

Fillmore can attribute much of their success to Lucy Murillo, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds, and Hermelinda Ocegueda, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. Murillo has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Andrea Ramirez, who posted five points and six boards.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nordhoff, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They strolled past Carpinteria with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-43.
Nordhoff had a senior duo take command as Cadence Renshaw dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds and Crystal Ramirez went 8 of 18 en route to 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Ramirez. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Jackson, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 11 points and five boards.
Nordhoff has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Fillmore, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Fillmore has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Nordhoff struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Fillmore couldn't quite finish off Nordhoff when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 37-34. Can Fillmore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
