Better late than never. Despite completely dominating every game it has played this season, the MaxPreps Top 25 computer rankings are finally giving Central York the recognition it deserves. The Panthers hammered Central Dauphin 42-15 in the District 3 Class 6A semifinal, improving to 7-0 and jumping 37 spots to No. 5 in this week's rankings.
Central York has only allowed 24 points all season while averaging 56.5. In their previous two outings, the Panthers piled up totals of 70 and 75, respectively.
Meanwhile, No. 1 St. Joseph's Prep improved to 3-0 with a 52-6 win over Archbishop Wood. Peters Township overtook Pine-Richland for the No. 2 spot following a 39-6 victory over Woodland Hills.
