The Aquinas Academy Crusaders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Seton LaSalle with a 60-54 victory.
Leading Aquinas Academy to victory were Violet Johnson and Victoria Taylor. Johnson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Taylor dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Aquinas Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Fisher, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists.
Aquinas Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Seton LaSalle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Aquinas Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. As for Seton LaSalle, they will be playing at home against Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
