Baseball Recap: Quincy Wins Going Away Against Redding Christian

While Quincy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Redding Christian Lions 9-2 on Saturday. Considering the Trojans have won four games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Lincoln Brown, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. Jake Thackeray was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Quincy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Redding Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Quincy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-7 victory against Chester on the 25th. As for Redding Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Ferndale on the 25th.
