The Thibodaux Tigers lost against the Hammond Tornadoes back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Thibodaux lost to Hammond on the road by a decisive 56-40 margin. Thibodaux has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Charles Armstrong was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six assists for Hammond. The matchup was Armstrong's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cartez Williams, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Thibodaux has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Hammond, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thibodaux will take on Hahnville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond, they will be playing at home against Covington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
