Central Magnet will head out on the road to square off against the Giles County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Central Magnet has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 248 points over their last four matches.
Even though Tullahoma scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, Central Magnet still came out on top. Central Magnet walked away with a 69-62 win over the Wildcats. The score was all tied up 32-32 at the break, but Central Magnet was the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Giles County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Marshall County by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Central Magnet's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Giles County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-8.
Central Magnet was able to grind out a solid win over the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, winning 55-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Magnet since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
