After flying high against Piedmont on Wednesday, West Stanly came back down to earth. The Colts came up short against the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls on Friday, falling 8-2. The Colts' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

West Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Hickory Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Stanly will venture away from home to square off against Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 2.7, the Raiders 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hickory Ridge, they will head out to face off against West Cabarrus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
