The East Bakersfield Blades lost against the Tehachapi Warriors last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East Bakersfield was outmatched by the Warriors on the road and fell 82-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Bakersfield has scored all season.
It was another big night for Riley Walden, who went 7 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 48 points and 1 assist for Tehachapi. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walden has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Koree Rodden, who scored six points along with ten steals and six assists.
East Bakersfield dropped their record down to 13-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Tehachapi, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will take on the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tehachapi, they will be playing at home against the Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Warriors are ranked 151st).
