Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gatewood). Everything went their way against the Windsor Academy Knights on Tuesday as they made off with a 30-0 win. This was payback for the Gators, who suffered a 7-3 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jayden Moss was incredible, firing off three home runs and ten RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three home runs gave him a new career-high. Walker Roberts was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Moss wasn't the only one making solid contact: Gatewood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windsor Academy only managed one hit.
Gatewood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Windsor Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
