Berean Christian is a perfect 6-0 against The Bay School since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Berean Christian will look to defend their home field against The Bay School at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Berean Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Irvington. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Ryder Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Luke Upshaw was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Nick Kullman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Berean Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, The Bay School had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Wolverines 10-2.
Like Berean Christian, The Bay School also got a great game from a two-way player: Ansel Hermanos. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Hermanos was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ari Samson, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Terje Steele, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Berean Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for The Bay School, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Berean Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like The Bay School struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Berean Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against The Bay School in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will Berean Christian repeat their success, or does The Bay School has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
