After flying high against the Rocky Grove Orioles last Thursday, the Cambridge Springs Devils came back down to earth. Cambridge Springs fell 44-31 to Cochranton on Thursday. Cambridge Springs was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cochranton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cochranton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire McCartney, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Eve Pfeiffer, who scored 12 points.
Cambridge Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cochranton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Cambridge Springs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Union City at 7:15 p.m. As for Cochranton, they will head out on the road to face off against West Middlesex at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
