This season hasn't been kind to the Rancho Mirage Rattlers, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were dealt a 52-4 loss at the hands of Palm Springs on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rancho Mirage has scored all season.
Palm Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Naomi Bote led the charge by scoring seven points along with eight steals. Bote is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Miley Flores, who scored nine points.
Rancho Mirage bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Palm Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Rancho Mirage will head out on the road to face off against Xavier Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Springs will be home for the holidays to greet Shadow Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shadow Hills is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
