The Chestnut Ridge Lions won the last time they faced the Penn Cambria Panthers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Chestnut Ridge took down Penn Cambria 56-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chestnut Ridge.
It was another big night for Ashlie Weaver, who scored 20 points along with eight blocks and five rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Chestnut Ridge's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Hillegass, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Chestnut Ridge's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Penn Cambria, they bumped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Chestnut Ridge will take on Bishop McCort at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McCort is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Penn Cambria, they will be playing at home against Forest Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
