On Friday, the Shasta Wolves's game was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged Foothill out 3-2. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shasta.
They hit Foothill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Elle Merrill,
Talyn Hanly, and
Hannah O'Hara.
Shasta's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2-4.
Shasta will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pleasant Valley's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Shasta's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Foothill, they will head out on the road to square off against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chico will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Foothill surely won't give up without a fight.
