Montcalm had to endure a 15-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 52-25 win over the Meadow Bridge Wildcats. The Generals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Meadow Bridge lost on Thursday, don't look at Kierston Rozell. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and four blocks. The match was Rozell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Mackenzie Phillips also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Montcalm's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Meadow Bridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
