The West Carter Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Russell 91-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Carter in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Carter has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Russell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carter will take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
