After a string of three wins, the Jordan Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 59-9 loss at the hands of Harbor Teacher. Jordan has not had much luck with Harbor Teacher recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Munachimso Emegwa was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 35 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals for Harbor Teacher. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Emegwa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Misae Coleman, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Jordan's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Harbor Teacher, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan on the road again on Wednesday and play against Hawkins at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Harbor Teacher, they will challenge Port of Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Port of Los Angeles comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
