The Vacaville Christian Falcons will take on the Rio Vista Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vacaville Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Vacaville Christian is returning to their home field after beating Mesa Verde on theirs, despite the fact Mesa Verde has dominated at home this season. The Falcons walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Mavericks on Friday.
Dylan Eddings made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Eddings wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Romeo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Vacaville Christian is undefeated when Romeo posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Rio Vista was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Golden Sierra by a score of 7-3. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.
Like Vacaville Christian, Rio Vista also got a great game from a two-way player: Emmett Medders. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.1 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Medders a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Friedel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Vacaville Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Rio Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vacaville Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rio Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Vacaville Christian's way against Rio Vista in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Vacaville Christian made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
