El Dorado has gone 8-1 against Argonaut recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will take on the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. El Dorado will be strutting in after a win while Argonaut will be coming in after a loss.
El Dorado's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Sheldon by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The result came thanks to Garrison Ewing's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because El Dorado is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, El Dorado got a massive performance out of Joe Parsons, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Parsons' first of the season. Wesley Morrasy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: El Dorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Argonaut's offense. They came up short against Cosumnes Oaks on Friday, falling 10-0.
El Dorado's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Argonaut, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
El Dorado's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Cougars have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Argonaut, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will El Dorado continue to outrun the ball?
El Dorado beat Argonaut 10-5 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
